Our story
After my high school barista days and working through college at coffee shops, I returned to my hometown of Spooner, WI with a massive project: turning my dream of owning a business into a reality. After three months of hard work, Redemption opened for the first time in May 2021 as a seasonal shipping-container coffee shop and roastery. Since then, Redemption has stood through heartache, loss, unexpected twists, and unimaginable difficulties, both in my life and in lives around me. Through all of those things, Redemption became a sanctuary that has transformed into a community.
Redemption is my story. It's about facing challenges and believing for restoration. It's about fiercely showing up for one another through the mud of life and celebrating each other's victories. So whether you're reheating your coffee for the fifth time today, chugging it on the way to work, or savoring every sip over a conversation with a friend, you're in the right place.

Abigail Melton
CEO & FOUNDER
Abigail, otherwise known as Abby, is the founder of Redemption. She has a passion for people which lead her to start Redemption and continues to fuel her as she grows the business. She serves Redemption as the CEO and loves every minute of bringing growth, leadership, and vision to the company.

Maryn Melton
CCO
Maryn is Abby’s sister-in-law. She started with Redemption as a barista in 2021 before taking a couple of years to focus on being a wife and mom. She’s rejoined the team again as Redemption’s CCO. She’s also Abby’s right-hand when it comes to processing through vision casting and direction. She’s our in-house, multi-talent wordsmith and our team couldn’t function without her!

Carson Klein
BARISTA
Carson has been with the company since 2022. She loves helping people and is passionate about making a difference. Carson is soon-to-be Abby’s sister-in-law and she looks forward to continuing within Redemption as a barista. Carson is currently training on a variety of different operations duties and is loving every minute of serving coffee to the Redemption community.

Emma Voeltz
BARISTA
Emma is the newest addition to the Redemption team and we love what she brings to the table! She’s always ready to greet customers with a bright smile and a friendly conversation. After the 2024 season she’ll be starting college online through UW-Superior.
